Southwestern Silver Presentation at Saks Galleries Cherry Creek An Outstanding Success




Mikkel Saks, owner of Saks Galleries Cherry Creek spoke to a standing room only crowd today.  The patrons came to the gallery to hear Mikkel give a special presentation on the history of Southwestern silver and the story of early Navajo design.

Mr. Saks offered a glimpse at his private collection of horse bridles, tools, medicine bags, trinket boxes adorned with turquoise, including one owned by Andy Warhol.  A rare treat of museum quality items and genuine American artifacts.

Mikkel brings a lifetime of experience in dealing with jewelry of the Hopi, Navajo and Zuni nations. Southwestern jewelry for sale includes turquoise from several mines of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico including Morenci, Bisbee, Cerrillos, #8 and Lone Mountain.
